Bio
Jason Delborne joined the faculty of LAIS as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2008. His work is highly interdisciplinary and situated in the field of science and technology studies. His research focuses on politicized scientific controversies, such as agricultural biotechnology, nanotechnology, environmental toxics, and biofuels. His conceptual interests include understanding scientific dissent and exploring relationships between science and democracy.

Dr. Delborne has a bachelor’s degree in human biology from Stanford University, and earned his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management. Subsequently, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship funded by the National Science Foundation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
