Art

The study of art contributes to developing the kinds of creative and innovative talents and skills that are vital to the engineering profession in the 21st century.

LAIS hosts a range of artistic explorations, both academic and extra-curricular, for CSM students. From the hands-on design course, StudioArt (1 credit-hour) to Humanities classes such as Intersections of Art, Science, and Technology as well as Art History, (both 3 credit-hours) students can find many opportunities to enhance their artistic talents and foster an understanding of how the visual arts influence and affect modern cultures and can contribute to good engineering design.

LAIS also supports several student clubs, such as the Anonymous Right Brains (ARB), the Creative Arts Club (CAC), the Photography Club, and the CSM literary and arts journal, High Grade.
